Bert’s will open at the crack of dawn on Friday — and its owners can’t wait to unveil a complete transformation of the former Odyssea diner overlooking pristine City Beach.

“We’re all really excited to finally show what we’ve been working on for so long, and to give the public a casual, approachable space in City Beach where everyone’s welcome,” co-owner Mark Pearn said during an exclusive show-and-tell with Western Suburbs Weekly this week.

The new venue has an even more chilled vibe than its predecessor, something Mr Pearn hopes will bring a relaxed community spirit to the foreshore.

“We wanted to create a really approachable venue and bring in that coastal vibe,” he said.
