After nearly two years with an empty seat at the top, the Central Canada Hockey League has found its new commissioner.
Former NHL player Jesse Winchester is stepping into the role as the Junior A league’s top executive, replacing longtime commissioner Kevin Abrams.

Winchester, born and raised in Long Sault, played in the CCHL with his hometown Cornwall Colts from 2002 to 2004, before moving on to playing four years at Colgate University on a full scholarship.
He then made the jump to the NHL, playing most of his career with the Ottawa Senators.
Now, Winchester resides in Kanata with his family, and is ready to take on a fresh challenge off the ice.
