GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD / WJW) — A man faces charges after a crash in Michigan's Thumb region that killed three members of a well-known reality television family last week.

The Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 9 p.m. Friday night outside of Cass City, 40 miles east of Saginaw. Multiple sources are reporting that Bill and Barb Putman, the patriarch and matriarch of the large family, along with their daughter-in-law, Megan, were killed in the crash.

Investigators said a driver in a semi-truck ran through a stop sign, striking the other vehicle. The three were pronounced dead on scene. Five others were rushed to hospitals, some in critical condition. A social media post from the family identified them as
