Pirates of the Caribbean film producer Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed that a major Hollywood star is still attached to the sixth Pirates film.

The producer, 82, is a Pirates legend after producing all five of the Pirates films, which have been met with huge success.

After the fifth film was released in 2017, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, there has been a lot of chatter for the past eight years about what is coming up next.

Now Bruckheimer has revealed that Margot Robbie is sill attached to the project, after being in talks nearly three years ago.

‘She’s still involved,’ the producer confirmed, adding that scriptwriter Ted Elliott also was returning to the franchise: ‘He worked on it, and we’ve brought someone else in to fill in the blanks.’
