Knicks’ former first-round pick could become a trade candidate ahead of this season
The New York Knicks don’t have enough room for everyone they’ve signed to make the roster, and it could result in the departure of some of their younger pieces.
The Athletic’s James L. Edwards III has pointed out that the Knicks are most likely going to keep at least two of Landry Shamet, Malcolm Brogdon, and Garrison Mathews after training camp. As such, the Knicks will need to make a trade if they wish to do so.
“New York is leaning toward keeping two of the aforementioned vets, with Shamet and Brogdon leading the way,” Edwards III said. “In order to keep two veterans, though, the Knicks must make a trade.”
