HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A former UAH hockey standout is coming home.
Former Chargers standout Josh Kestner signed with the Huntsville Havoc, the team announced Wednesday.
Kestner played four seasons at UAH before he began his professional career with the AHL's Toronto Marlies. In the 2019-2020 season, Kestner played for the Toledo Walleye, where he earned league MVP.
His career resume includes stops in Finland’s top league, Liiga, Russia’s KHL, the Czech Extraliga, and, most recently, in Slovakia.
Kestner now returns home, where he says he wants to put a bow on his hockey career.
"I want to finish my career where I started and come back home and play for the Havoc," Kestner said.
