One of Netflix's most successful and most divisive filmmakers is back with a brand new movie on the streaming platform. While he's been successful as an actor, appearing in big hits like Gone Girl, it's safe to say that Tyler Perry's efforts behind the camera, like Madea's Destination Wedding, Tyler Perry's Duplicity, The Six Triple Eight, and, more recently, Beauty in Black, aren't the best. Perry recently produced Netflix's newest movie, Ruth & Boaz, directed by Alanna Brown, which is currently a major hit for the streamer. But, it's not without its backlash and controversy.
