Connecticut's famed apizza continues to make its way deeper into New England , with a new location of one of New Haven's most legendary pizzerias opening up at Dorchester's South Bay Center.

Sally's Apizza held its grand opening on Tuesday night to celebrate its second Massachusetts location and first in Boston.

Sally's is an institution in New Haven, and has been expanding in recent years, including a location that opened in 2023 in Woburn.

Apizza refers to an ultra-thin and coal-fired type of pie that's associated with New Haven. Governor Ned Lamont has been promoting Connecticut's unique approach to pizza, touting the Constitution State as the pizza capital of the U.S.
