Multiple police officers and a student were taken to the hospital after the student allegedly attacked staff at Melvin H. King South End Academy on Wednesday afternoon, Boston Police reported.
At about 1:35 p.m., police responded to a radio call reporting a student assaulting staff at the K-12 South End school on Warren Ave, the department said.
At the site, three officers sustained “what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries,” Boston Police said. Two were taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the other was treated at the South End station.
The students was also taken to Boston Children’s Hospital for evaluation, police said. The conditions of “any staff members involved have not yet been confirmed” as of Wednesday afternoon, BPD reported.
