More than 1,500 Swifties lined up in Manhattan, New York, to celebrate Taylor Swift's upcoming album "The Life of a Showgirl" at Spotify's "dazzling three-day immersive activation."
“The Life of a Showgirl: A Spotify Experience” invites "fans to discover hidden Easter eggs and capture exclusive photo moments, all inspired by the album."
"It’s a chance for listeners to experience the next era before it officially arrives, surrounded by the music and visuals that have shaped their anticipation," Spotify said in a news release, noting Swift herself will not be in attendance.
The three-day event opened on Sept. 30 and will run through Oct. 2 from 12-9 p.m. ET on a first-come, first-serve basis at 507 W. 27th St. in Manhattan. More than 1,500 fans showed up on day one, a Spotify rep told USA TODAY on Wednesday, Oct. 1, and a line of hundreds more stretched around the block the next day.
Pictures and videos from inside the event venue show green and orange decorations, showgirl-inspired props, a photo of Swift and Sabrina Carpenter from an Eras Tour concert, lots of glitter and lyric reveals.
"This three-day event is the latest chapter in a global campaign designed to build anticipation for 'The Life of a Showgirl' and bring fans closer to the music," Spotify said.
