LANSING, Mich. -- On Wednesday, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that she has signed a continuation budget to avoid a Michigan state government shutdown.
The week prior, the Michigan House and Senate made a bipartisan agreement to pass a full state budget, and they intend on continuing to meet with administration leaders to finalize and pass that budget.
While the budget is finalized, Wednesday's continuation budget will keep state government operations running and maintain Michiganders' access to services.
