A woman in China miraculously survived a 54-hour nightmare of snakes, mosquitoes, and exhaustion after she fell into an abandoned well while on a leisurely hike, according to a report.

The hiker, identified by her last name Qin, 48, was out on a stroll through the woods of Quanzhuo, Fujian province, on Sept. 13 when she tumbled into the mouth of the well, the South China Morning Post reported .

Her family was unable to locate her after an initial search and reported her missing on Sept.14 — but it wasn’t until the following day that the Jinjiang Ruitong Blue Sky Emergency Rescue Center was able to locate her using a thermal imaging drone, the report stated.
