The CIF Southern Section girls volleyball playoff brackets are starting to round into shape with two weeks left in the regular season.

In the latest girls volleyball playoff rankings released Tuesday, officials said the Division 1 bracket will potentially be a 12-16 team bracket and Division 2 will likely be a 24-32 team bracket.

The remaining brackets will be 32 teams, which will include at-large entries.

The last game of the regular season is Oct. 15. The postseason begins Oct. 21.

Valley Christian (22-2), the area’s top team, is ranked No. 14 and is on the cusp of a Division 1 or Division 2 berth.

Los Alamitos (24-8) is ranked 17th. The Griffins will likely be a top-seeded team in Division 2.

Long Beach Poly (19-6) is ranked No. 33 and would currently be a Division 2 team.
