HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Authorities working to crack down on illegal drug activity at parks throughout the city of Holyoke, have arrested a Northampton man at Gramps Park on multiple drug charges.
This is according to the Holyoke Police Department which reports they were doing a property check at the park when they first spotted the suspect Tuesday early afternoon.
“Around 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday September 30th, Holyoke Police Sergeant John Veit conducted a property check at Gramps Park which is adjacent to Elm Street,” noted Holyoke police, “As Sgt. Veit entered the park he approached a subject, later identified as Luis Manuel-Perez. Manuel-Perez was holding a crack-pipe and two vials of suspected crack-cocaine.”
