COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The U.S. Air Force Academy has shared details of how the government shutdown is impacting its services and facilities.
The federal government shut down late Tuesday night after President Donald Trump and Congress failed to reach an agreement to keep government programs and services running by Wednesday’s deadline.
Several USAFA departments will be affected as a result of this shutdown.
Classes will continue with the academy’s remaining military faculty. They will teach their own courses, as well as some courses from furloughed civilian faculty. However, USAFA said this is not sustainable if the government shutdown extends beyond one week.
