TOLLESON, Ariz. — Two Amazon Prime Air drones crashed Wednesday at a West Valley facility, officials say.
The drones apparently struck a crane located near 99th Avenue and Interstate 10, according to the Tolleson Police Department. No injuries were reported and the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
The Phoenix Hazmat Unit also responded to the scene due to complaints of smoke and reported damage to lithium ion batteries.
Sky12 footage shows wreckage from the damaged drones located on the grounds of the facility.
A spokesperson for Amazon said they're aware of the incident involving the two drones and are currently working with authorities to investigate.
Amazon Prime Air is a delivery service that utilizes drones to transport packages to customers. Amazon held a
