RICHMOND, IN — Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a Centerville woman who was being held in the Wayne County Jail.

Sheriff Randy Retter confirmed on Wednesday, Oct. 1, that Amanda L. Hewitt, 40, died on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 27, apparently within a few hours after she had been arrested in Centerville.
