CLEVELAND, Ohio — Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has been medically cleared by the doctors and will return to practice Wednesday, per Adam Schefter .
The second-year quarterback Daniels suffered a knee sprain in the fourth quarter of their Week 2 loss to Green Bay, leading to him missing Weeks 3-4.
Backup Marcus Mariota was promoted to starter while Daniels rehabbed his injury, and led the team to a 1-1 record.
Daniels’ return to practice marks a possibility of him returning to game action.
Washington sits at 2-2, with a second place slot in the NFC East division.
They’ll hit the road and play the Chargers this Sunday.
