MACHESNEY PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — A local non-profit, ETM Brighter Days Foundation, is partnering with Lowe's to renovate a home for a veteran.
The organization focuses on providing affordable housing for veterans, the formerly incarcerated, and individuals with behavioral health issues. They have purchased a home on Acorn Street to renovate and donate to a veteran in need.
"When I came here the first day, before this was all done, it was a wreck. This is much improved. The walls are much better. After we get the flooring in today and tomorrow, it's going to be a whole brand new house," said Lowe's Machesney Park Assistant Store Manager.
