James Gunn just revealed whether Marvel is canon within the DC universe after a recent reference in Peacemaker . The writer, director, and producer directed all three Guardians of the Galaxy films for Marvel.

Amid DC's cinematic reboot, WB brought Gunn on board to run DC Studios. So far, he's directed Superman and created Creature Commandos . He also directed The Suicide Squad and developed Peacemaker for DC.

Peacemaker stars John Cena , Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee, Robert Patrick, and Frank Grillo. It's also a spinoff of the film The Suicide Squad . The series debuted to overwhelmingly positive reviews, with a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. The second season, which is currently airing, has a 96% RT score.
