WAUSAU − Applications are now open for the 2025 Wausau Sustainability Awards, according to a community announcement.

The awards aim to honor individuals, businesses and organizations that have shown leadership in sustainability and energy efficiency. They also highlight successful projects that contribute to a more sustainable Wausau, encouraging others to adopt similar practices.

“The Sustainability Awards represent the City’s ongoing commitment to recognize and promote actions that contribute to long-term environmental health and energy resilience,” Jean Abreu, Sustainability, Energy, & Environment Committee chair, said. “We encourage community members to participate by nominating individuals and organizations that exemplify these values.”

Applications and nominations are due by Oct.
