EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- The East Lansing Independent Police Oversight Commission is meeting at Hannah Community Center. On the agenda is a summary of "Response to Resistance" also referred to as "Use of Force" data for 2024.
The summary comes as the East Lansing community is wrestling with a chaotic Welcome Week. The Welcome Week, a tradition for the return of Michigan State University students to the city, was fraught with fights, arrests and uses of force.
