TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - On Wednesday, Judge Lance Neff approved a motion from the attorneys of the accused Florida State University shooter to push his trial back again - this time to October 2026.
Pheonix Ikner is accused of killing two people and injuring others when he started shooting on Florida State University’s campus in April.
The 21-year-old’s trial was initially pushed back to March 30, 2026 after he received new defense counsel.
On Sept. 25, the defense filed a motion to delay the trial again, citing over 250 witnesses the State has listed and “potentially hundreds if not thousands of hours of video” and large amounts of electronic data.
