FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Governor Mike Braun made a stop in Fort Wayne on Wednesday as part of his statewide tour, meeting with Indiana State Police to talk about public safety.

Braun highlighted Indiana State Police (ISP) Troopers’ work this year, saying the department seized more than 50 pounds of fentanyl, thousands of fentanyl pills, and police made more than 100 arrests tied to drug trafficking.

He says impaired driving arrests are also up, while fatal crashes involving drunk drivers are down nearly 12 percent.

During the conference, Governor Braun was asked about gun violence throughout the state.
