BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — One person was taken to a hospital in connection with a shooting in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

First responders confirmed the incident happened in the area of Staring Lane and Boone Avenue around 4 p.m.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, officials confirmed.

There is no word on what led up to the shooting.
