ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Three severely neglected puppies were dumped at the Taylor Jones Humane Society, an act caught on the shelter's surveillance cameras.
According to shelter staff, the puppies were left outside the facility after hours in visibly poor health. All three were suffering from fur loss, open scabs, and signs of neglect. One of the puppies had to be taken to a local veterinarian, where it was diagnosed with a heart murmur.
President of the Taylor Jones Humane Society, Melissa O'Neil, said the puppies are now safe and receiving medical treatment, but their recovery will take time and resources. The Humane Society is asking for community support in the form of donations and information related to the case.
