The City of Columbia and the University of Missouri issued a joint message Wednesday mid-afternoon, Oct. 1, about all the work toward increasing safety that occurred Monday, Sept. 29, following the deadly homecoming weekend shooting in downtown Columbia.
Much was noted previously, included planned increases in downtown law enforcement presence by not only Columbia Police Department, but also the Mizzou Police Department, Boone County Sheriff's Department and Missouri Highway Patrol during peak late night hours, but the release also shared a list of other work that took place earlier this week.
