MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Ted Townsend leads the Greater Memphis Chamber. He says right now it is still too early to speculate on the financial impacts of the task force's presence, but says interest in Memphis continues to grow.
The Greater Memphis Chamber is the “voice of Memphis business” on local, state, and national issues.
Right now, the chamber says they have around 1,700 members, and some of them are seeing these federal resources as a relief.
With Memphis being a major logistics hub, Townsend says businesses have had issues with crimes like cargo theft.
He says crime has been a part of the conversation when it comes to bringing more companies here, but that's since changed due to the increased law enforcement presence at local, state, and federal levels.
The chamber says they have be
