LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office warned the public about “Apple Pay Scams,” which involve a text notifying the user of a suspicious apple pay sign in and asking the user to call a number or click a link.

The office said that they had received multiple reports of the scam.

“DO NOT click on the link or call the number” if a message comes through that seems like it might be a scam.

They included the following example of an apple pay scam:
