This is the moment that motorcyclists were left nearly dangling off a bridge after a 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines.

The country’s earthquake service said the central Cebu Province, home to some 3.2million people, was jolted at around 10pm local time yesterday.

Officials have declared a ‘state of calamity’ in the province, with schools flattened, power lines torn and thousands left homeless.
