INDIANAPOLIS — An exit interview in Minnesota is catching people’s attention.
In a four-minute prepared statement, Lynx star Napheesa Collier criticized the WNBA’s leadership, also taking issue with the officiating and player compensation.
“At some point, everyone deserves to hear the truth from someone who I hope has earned the benefit of the doubt to fight for what is right for our athletes and fans. We have the best players and fans in the world and the worst leadership in the world,” Collier said. “I have finally grown tired. For too long I have tried to have these conversations in private but its clear there is no intention of accepting there is a problem. The league has made it clear it isn't about innovation, it isn't about collaboration, it’s about control and power.”
