BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – Sheriff Tom Croskrey retired on Wednesday from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), as Interim Sheriff Mike Clark was appointed by the Benton County Board of Commissioners to temporarily lead the position.

Officials expressed their gratitude for Croskrey's years of service.

"We extend our deepest gratitude to Sheriff Croskrey for more than 30 years of dedicated and honorable service in law enforcement," officials said. "His leadership modernized our operations, strengthened regional partnerships and deepened our connection with the community."

Interim Sheriff Clark, with 22 years at the BCSO, is committed to maintaining public safety and continuing the office's partnership with the community as he steps into the role.
