The UFC’s debut in Qatar has its main event.
A lightweight bout between Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker will headline the UFC Fight Night card on Nov. 22 at Doha’s ABHA Arena, Dana White announced Wednesday.
Tsarukyan — the top-ranked contender in the 155-pound division — will enter the contest on a four-fight winning streak and with a 22-3-0 overall record. It will be his first fight under the banner since he beat Charles Oliveira at UFC 300 in April 2024.
The Armenian had earned himself a title shot with the victory over “Do Bronx”, but his bout against then-champion Islam Makhachev was ultimately cancelled after Tsarukyan had to withdraw due to injury.
Now, he’ll take on New Zealand’s Hooker, who sports a 24-12-0 record and is the No. 6-ranked fighter at lightweight in the UFC.
