In a post on Truth Social Wednesday, President Donald Trump said soybeans will be a major topic of discussion when he meets with Chinese President Xi Jinping “in four weeks.” Trump also pledged to direct a portion of tariff revenue to farmers.

Following the post, soybean prices rose, though the reaction among farmers on social media was mixed. Many called for renewed trade agreements or broader market access, rather than additional government payments.
