CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - It’s a chance to lace up the running shoes and walk or run to help provide free cancer screenings for Heartland families.

Saturday, October 4, at 10 a.m., the 2025 Color Dash 5K and Fun Walk begins at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau.

Same-day registration is available from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.

According to organizers, proceeds go directly to helping families receive free screenings for the four major cancers, which are breast, colon, lung, and prostate.

It’s also suggested you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, sweaty, and colorful!
