MANCHESTER, CT. (WFSB) - It’s do or die for the New York Yankees Wednesday evening in Game 2 of the American League Wild Card series, and Connecticut baseball fans are split right down the middle.

The Yankees must win to avoid elimination against their arch-rivals, the Boston Red Sox. They lost 3-1 Tuesday evening.

At Murphy’s Pub and Sports Bar in Manchester, the divide between fan bases is evident as supporters gear up for the crucial matchup.

“I’m a die hard Red Sox fan and I came here last night and they won so I came here again to keep it going,” said Lauren Maloney, a Red Sox fan.

“Yankees to pull through. Can’t sell bases loaded no outs,” said Grayson Koscuk, a Yankees fan.

First pitch is set for 6:08 p.m.
