FAIRFIELD, Ohio —

Vandals broke into Creekside Middle School in Fairfield three times in less than a week, targeting the wrestling room and causing significant damage, according to police reports.

The school, located about a mile from the Fairfield Police Department, experienced break-ins sometime between Sept. 19-22 and then again on the 23rd and 24th. Advertisement

The reports detail that vandals "caused an unknown amount of damage to property inside" and "flooded the wrestling room potentially destroying the wrestling mats."

The three break-ins are believed to be connected, although Fairfield police have not commented on potential suspects.

Multiple sources indicate that investigators suspect young children may have committed the crimes.
