BRAZOS VALLEY, Texas (KBTX) - The federal government shut down Tuesday night after Congressional Republicans and Democrats failed to approve a new spending bill. Some Brazos Valley and state leaders and organizations have shared statements on the shutdown.

On Tuesday, Associate Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M University Soren Jordan joined KBTX for the Focus at Four segment, explaining what was happening and what could happen.
