SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - From her shoes, pants suit and earrings, Emily Kelley says when she sees the color pink, it reminds her of the power passed down to her from generation to generation.
“I was introduced to breast cancer a month after I was born. My grandmother passed away… by the time they found it, it was too late.”
Little did baby Emily know, the loss of her grandmother would set the stage for what her family would endure in the years to come.
“Fast forward to 2023, my mother was diagnosed in February, and I wouldn’t have known that four months later, I myself would be diagnosed.”
