Missaukee County — The primary boat launch for Missaukee County Parks getting some upgrades that will soon impact where boaters can launch from.

Parks director, Todd Anderson, said the boat launch will be closed for badly needed repairs, starting October 13th.

People are being advised to remove their boats from the water before that date or find an alternative boat launch to get into the water.

“People were having issues with their boat trailers and stuff and having to back into the water so far to get their boats off their trailers. And it’s just going to be you know, it’s going to eliminate all that,” said Anderson.

Anderson said the current ramp is aging-making accessibility difficult and creating safety issues.
