SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A celebration of decades of learning took place on Wednesday at the Saratoga Springs Public Library. The library held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark multiple milestones, including its 75th anniversary, 30 years in its current building, and five years of hosting the Saratoga Book Festival.
The festival brings authors, workshops, and readings to the community to give people a chance to connect with writers, explore new stories, and celebrate a passion for books.
"It's rare in a community of our size to have this opportunity," Saratoga Springs Public Library Director Ike Pulder said. "It sort of takes over downtown for the next few days."
The Saratoga Book Festival is taking place from Oct. 3-5.
