The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday valid for Thursday between midnight and 9 a.m. for Southern Centre and Southern Clinton as well as Cambria, Blair, Somerset and Bedford counties.

The weather service adds to be ready for, "Temperatures in the mid 30s will result in frost formation."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," comments the weather service. "Those with agricultural interests should protect sensitive vegetation. Near-ground freezing temperatures could kill uncovered sensitive outdoor vegetation."
