LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Passengers reported no issues at Harry Reid International Airport on Wednesday despite a federal government shutdown going into effect.
The shutdown does impact several airport partners, including the Transportation Security Administration and the Federal Aviation Administration, but since these jobs are considered essential, employees are still working through it.
A Harry Reid International Airport spokesperson sent the following statement to 8 News Now regarding operations.
"The federal government shutdown that went into effect last night impacts several federal agencies, including airport partners such as TSA, CBP, and FAA. However, these entities are deemed essential services and will remain operational during the shutdown. Operations at LAS will continue to oper
