MANCHESTER, N.H. —

The Red Sox and Yankees face a winner-take-all Game 3 on Thursday night after New York topped Boston, 4-3, in another close game in The Bronx.

Starting pitcher Brayan Bello was not sharp, allowing a two-run home run to Yankees slugger Ben Rice in the first inning. He was later pulled from the game during the third inning, with the score tied 2-2.

The move forced Boston to lean heavily on its bullpen. The Yankees knocked in a run off the bullpen in the fifth inning to take a 3-2 lead, but Boston answered in the sixth with a home run from Trevor Story.

The score remained tied into the eighth inning, when the Yankees got to reliever Garrett Whitlock, scoring the go-ahead run on an RBI
