EVANSVILLEE, Ind. (WEHT) -- New research indicates the intersection of Highway 41 and Washington Avenue is safer now after major changes.
INDOT says in the last six months, its data shows a significant decrease in accidents of all kinds, something officials credit to the improvements made to both the pedestrian areas and roadways.
"Putting a few signs up isn't going to do completely what needs to be done, so we got the delineators up that's helping show people that physically, you can't make those left turns at the intersection, i think that has really helped," INDOT Public Relations Director Gary Brian said.
