Survivor season 49 is underway, and we’re here with a recap!

The second episode of the season aired tonight (October 1) and we got to see the ramifications of a tribe disadvantage.

Three players: Jake from Kele, Jawan from Uli, and Matt from Hina were all sent on a mission. Only one of them – Jawan – came out successful with a choice: a personal advantage or an opposing team disadvantage.

Jawan decided to be a team player and forego a personal advantage. He chose to give a disadvantage to a fellow tribe.

Jawan ended up giving the disadvantage to Hina at the next immunity challenge, forcing all of the castaways from the yellow crew to have to carry 20 pounds of coconuts each on their backs throughout the competition.
