Oklahomans are feeling the impact of the government shutdown.

We have thousands of federal workers, from the military, airports, to postal workers.

And the shutdown could affect important agencies that depend on funding. News On 6 found conversations on the subject in an unlikely place: the Tulsa State Fair.

Veterans Concerned About Potential Funding Cuts

It was busy at the Oklahoma Veterans Administration booth, where they co-hosted with a nonprofit organization that assists newly discharged veterans, Eagle OPS.

“We created this foundation so that we could assist veterans not to have to go through the trials and tribulations that I went through and that I put my family through, without a battle buddy,” said Johnathon Shephard.
