The Phillies tuned up for Red October with an intrasquad game under the lights Wednesday.
Unlike last year’s closed scrimmage, this one was played in front of more than 31,000 fans at Citizens Bank Park -- a postseason rehearsal with a packed house that sold out in just four days, benefitting Phillies Charities, Inc.

“We wanted to do it last year, but it was too late to pull everything together,” Rob Thomson said. “This year we got ahead of it. Great response from our fan base … a lot of money going to charity, so it’s for a good cause. And hopefully it helps the players.”
One of the players looking to get his feet back under him after a late-season IL stint was Trea Turner, who Tho
