Neil Strine, a political science professor at the Bloomsburg campus of Commonwealth University, says most people don't have to worry about a government shutdown because only a small portion of the government actually shuts down.
Strine says, "When you say the government shuts down, it's really only 15% at best of the government shuts down."
This percentage includes what the government deems to be nonessential, such as museums and national parks like the Steamtown National Historic Site.
