The Bruins have a lot of young players looking to make the roster out of training camp including Fabian Lysell , Fraser Minten and Matt Poitras .

Time is running out for them to make an impression on coach Marco Sturm with Opening Night against the Washington Capitals a week away. But the young skaters will get a chance to make their case in the final slate of preseason games.

Someone like Poitras has NHL experience. He cracked the roster as a 19-year-old, but his rookie season ended prematurely due to shoulder surgery. He spent a chunk of last season in Providence. Lysell, meanwhile, has been with the organization since 2021 but hasn’t been able to carve out a full-time role.
